When emailing a box's placer, you need to supply YOUR email address.
Not the address of the person you're trying to contact!

Also, if you email someone with your normal email program and your message
is rejected, using the letterboxing page to email someone isn't going to
make a difference. It's still email, and they're address is still probably
bouncing.
